Regenerative Medicine: Regrowing Tonsils with Stem Cells

The human body is constantly regenerating and repairing itself, harnessing the power of stem cells to restore damaged tissues. Transplanting these stem cells into the surgically removed tonsil tissue can promote the regrowth of tonsils when they are damaged or need to be removed due to chronic inflammation. Not only does this potential breakthrough offer hope for patients with severe tonsillitis, but it’s also one step closer to harnessing the power of regenerative medicine to tackle a range of other degenerative diseases and conditions.
