Scientists from NASA have recently revealed that an unexpected X-class solar flare, the most powerful type of solar flare, emitted from the sun, causing a nationwide radio blackout over southern African countries. Despite this event being surprising, researchers also discovered that southern African countries are at a higher risk of such solar flares.
