A rare Stradivarius violin, crafted in 1714 by Antonio Stradivari during his celebrated “golden period,” has sold for $11.3 million at a Sotheby’s auction in New York. This remarkable instrument, known as the “Joachim-Ma Stradivarius,” represents the apex of classical craftsmanship and musical history. Proceeds from the sale will benefit a scholarship fund at the New England Conservatory.
