NASA’s OSIRIS-REx mission has returned samples from the asteroid Bennu, revealing the presence of organic molecules that are considered building blocks for life. These molecules, including amino acids and nucleobases, were detected in the collected material, suggesting that the ingredients for life may be more widespread in the universe than previously thought.
