The New York Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a shooting that took place in Manhattan earlier this week. On Tuesday afternoon, at approximately 2:45pm, police responded to a report of a shooting in the vicinity of 5th Avenue and 23rd Street.
Upon arrival, officers found a 35-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
According to eyewitnesses, the shooting occurred outside a nearby UnitedHealthcare office. The suspect, who has not been identified, was seen fleeing the scene on foot.

The UnitedHealthcare office where the shooting occurred has been closed until further notice. Employees were evacuated from the building and were not allowed to return until the police had completed their investigation.
